about

Remixed in 2021 from the original 2 inch tapes by album producer Wendell Tilley, this download features all new mixes plus two previously unreleased songs (only available when you purchase the full album). The new mixes were mastered by Jim Demain at Yes Master Studios in Nashville, TN.

Thoughts of Mary formed in 1992 while they were students at Louisiana State University. The band members include Marc Daigle, Gabe Daigle, Joel Dicharry, Bill Rhodes and Keith Simoneaux. With influences ranging from the Replacements and Buffalo Tom to Neil Young, the group forged an original sound that drew from 80’s college radio and indie sounds from the 90's.

They toured heavily throughout the South and built a loyal fanbase in the process. Along the way, they shared stages with Echo and the Bunnymen, the Gin Blossoms, Better than Ezra, Cowboy Mouth, Soul Hat, Five Eight, Dash Rip Rock, The Bluerunners and many others. In 1993, they recorded and released their debut cd, "Paper, Rock, Scissors", which yielded the regional radio hit, "Anymore". Toward the end of 1994, the group disbanded. Thoughts of Mary has regrouped numerous times to play reunion shows in Baton Rouge.

The group played college bars and parties in the south, forging an original sound inspired by 80’s college radio and 90's indie music. After finding regional success, the band broke up in 1994, but has regrouped often and recently released a live album. ... more
